Saaren Taika built an entire product development philosophy around a single wild plant from the Bothnian Sea, and developed its own exclusive active ingredients from it. Fucus DuoActive® and Fucus Fusion® are not commodity extracts. They are the result of years of in-house formulation work in our own facility in Perniö, Finland, and they are found nowhere else in the world.

Wild Bladderwrack from the Bothnian Sea

We collect only bladderwrack that a storm has naturally detached from the seabed. We hand-harvest it from the shores of the Bothnian Sea, and we also dive for it while it is still fresh in the water shortly after a storm, only when nature makes it available. This means the raw material is genuinely limited. Production cannot simply be scaled to meet demand, and that limitation is what makes the range exclusive in the truest sense.

We never harvest before a storm releases it, and we never take material that has been left to rot on the shore. We never take more than the sea gives. This ensures the delicate marine ecosystem of the Bothnian Sea remains intact and our raw material retains the full spectrum of bioactive compounds that make it valuable for your skin.

Two Actives, One Range, Measurable Results

Together they form the foundation of every product in this collection, and around them we build the additional clinically studied actives chosen specifically for each product's purpose.

The Bladderwrack Super Serum has undergone a clinical study under dermatological supervision with 20 participants over 28 days. Wrinkles reduced by 29.9%, pores by 37.12%, redness by 53.3% and itching by 73.86%. These are results from the finished product on real skin, not ingredient-level claims.

Results-Driven Skincare for Skin That Has Already Tried Everything

The Bladderwrack range is developed for skin that does not respond well to standard skincare. Skin that is simultaneously dry and reactive, prone to redness and congestion, or mature and dealing with multiple concerns at once. Each product in the range is built around a clear purpose: the serum for anti-age and barrier repair, the eye cream for puffiness and expression lines, the face oil for microbiome balance and impurities, the soaps for daily cleansing without disruption, the 24H cream for prebiotic microbiome support and sebum balance.

This is not mass-market skincare with a new name on the label. It is formulation work developed with specific skin challenges in mind, backed by clinical studies and produced in our own facility where we control every step.

Zero-Waste from the Start

When we extract the bladderwrack actives for our serums and creams, nutrient-rich bladderwrack powder remains. Rather than discard it, we built the Bladderwrack Face Soap and Bladderwrack Salt Soap around it. Every part of the raw material finds its purpose. That is what zero-waste looks like when it is built into the process from the beginning, not added as an afterthought.
